Is Koshy's concerned about its patrons?!!

Koshy's is quite a popular joint in Bengaluru. It has some dedicated patrons and is a well known eat out in Bengaluru, a kind of a landmark. But unfortunately the management of Koshy’s don’t seem to have woken up to changing times. The menu consists of high calorie fat filled listing that has not changed in decades. This blogger was at Koshy’s the other day for breakfast and ended up sticking to coffee. Its time Koshy’s woke up.

The Gajini look !!
This snap was taken even before the movie was released. It seems to have caught the imagination of the youth. I am not into watching movies at theatre, nowadays even rarely in TV too (it’s difficult to carry the momentum between the ads and crap). The last movie I sat through was Munnabhai). While traveling I do watch movies in theatres, its relaxing and consider it part of getting to know the city and place (includes food, sites, history and yes carnal…the latter though I have restricted in recent times).

Children and youngsters are very much influenced by popular movie stars. I used to be quite influenced by them as a kid. I used to have Prem Nazir hairstyle when I was seven or eight, referred to as kuruvikud (birds nest). Those more inclined to west will refer it to as Elivis Prestly style. It needs lots of practice, delicate swish with the comb. Later I shifted to Amitabh Bachchan style, sometimes even a hanky round the neck. Later I got this T Shirt that glow in dark from Kutch, it was referred to as disco dancer Tshirt!!!. I was a big fan of Mithun Chakraborty and tried coping his hairstyle and dancing (with disastrous consequences!!). The list is endless!!. In first year of college there was a craze for crew cut (don’t know how it started). Later I switched to long hair not particularly influenced by anyone but I guess looking back it was an attempt at asserting individuality (strange ways!!), and yes treated with smirk during job interviews. When I saw the Gajini cut I couldn’t help smiling and yes if I was that age would be carrying one.
